| Abstrak | : | Background : According to SDKI year 2007, the IKB in Indonesia was diminishing but still quite high at 25 per 1000 live births in 2006 compared to 33 per 1000 live births. Babies born with low birth weight (LBW) is one of the risk factors that have contributed to infant mortality, especially in the perinatal period. LBW is one cause of perinatal death. Infants with low birth weigth contribute 70% of early neonatal deaths, the smaller the baby, the less likely his life.Objective : was to determine the relationship between low birth weight (LBW) with the incidence of asphyxia in hospitals Pringsewu Lampung Periode 1 januari 2010-31 Desember 2010. The population in this study is the um of all babies who experience in hospitals Pringsewu Lampung Periode 1 januari 2010-31 Desember 2010 some 136 babies. Method : in cross-sectional time. Univariate analysis is used to obtain data an the frequency distribution of each variable, which includes the independent variables (LBW) and the dependent variable (asphyxia). Having obtained data on the distribution hypoyheses using bivariate analysis. The analysis was tested using chi square formula (X?). Result : of research got by value of P signifikansi = 0,026 meaning H0 refused and Ha is received with the meaning there is significant association between LBW With the incidence Of Asphyxia of Neonatorum in Hospital Pringsewu Lampung Periode 1 januari 2010-31 Desember 2010 . Conclusion : valueof this research is obtained by value P signifikansi = 0,026 meaning H0 refused and Ha is a received, which the meaning there is significant relationship between the incidence of LBW Asphyxia Neonatorum in Hospital Pringsewu Lampung Periode 1 januari 2010-31 Desember 2010.
