| Abstrak | : | BACKGROUND: People's lifestyles that are less well lately, such as the lack of mobilization, less fibrous foods, spicy foods habits constantly and frequently consume coffee or alcohol, lead to increased incidence of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids is a disease that can be suffered by any person, suffered as much by men and women. The prevalence of hemorrhoids will increase at age 45-65 years old. PURPOSE : The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a correlation between sex and age on the incidence of interna hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV in RSUD Sleman period 2009-2011 METHOD : This study used a descriptive analysis method with cross-sectional approach. The inclusion criteria of this study were patients who underwent inpatient hemorrhoids in RSUD Sleman Yogyakarta and patients whom aged 10-90 years old were diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV. The study was conducted by taking data from medical records of period 2009-2011 RESULTS : In 94 patients that meet the inclusion criteria, found the incidence of internal hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV by sex 61 (64,9%) men and 33 (35,1%) women. While the incidence of internal hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV according to the age found in the adult age 84,0% (79 patients) and 16,0% of elderly (15 patients). Data analyzed was using chi-square test. The results of chi-square analyzed on the variable of gender obtained P = 0,024, while the variable of age obtained p = 0,919 CONCLUSION : There is a correlation between sex in the incidence of internal hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV, which is incidence in men more often than women; There is no correlation between age in the incidence of internal hemorrhoids degrees III and degrees IV Keywords: Interna Hemorrhoids Degrees III and Degrees IV, Gender, Age |
