| Abstrak | : | Background: Insomnia is one of sleep disorders that manifest itself as difficulty to initiation and maintenance of sleep. Insomnia can be associated with the lack of concentration quality of the sufferer. The risk to develop disturbed concentration is three times more severe in insomnia sufferer. The disturbed concentration quality associated with insomnia in assumption have detrimental effect on learning process, in turn this condition result in decline of student grade point average. Purpose: To find out is there significant relationship between insomnia and grade point average on students of Medical Faculty of Islamic University Of Indonesia years in: 2008. Method: This study is a non-experimental research using cross-sectional study which the population is students of Medical Faculty of Islamic University of Indonesia. Total sampling design method is used in this study and acquired 199 subjects. Sample filtering has done with KSPBJ-insomnia rating scale and L-MMPI scale. Pearson analysis was used to assess the data. Result: From the 146 subjects included in the study, 72, 7% of the subjects is female and 27,3% subjects is male.. According to KSPBJ-IRS 55 subjects are fall under insomnia term. The insomnia and grade point average data analysis reveal the P value=0,086 (P]0,05), Pearson -0,233.
