Abstrak | : | Background: Stroke is a serious public health problem worldwide, with morbidity and mortality rate sufficiently high. From the overall data in the world, stroke has become the cause of death reaching up to 9% (about 4 million) of total deaths annually. Generally, lymphocytes have a negative role in the pathogenesis of stroke. Lymphocytes act indirectly by activating other cells in the blood circulation and / or extravascular cells such as macrophages in the brain. Objective: To understand the association between the increased lymphosit number at the first arrival in the hospital in haemorrhagic stroke patient. Method : this study conducted by cross sectional. All medical record of the haemorrhagic stroke patient were recorded and then selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research conducted in hospital within the periode of January 1st 2009 until December 31st December 2011. In this study the grouping of lymphocytes number can be classified in to 2(two) kinds, namely Increase if the number of lymphocytes ] 11.000 m3 and no increase if lymphocytes number =11.000 m3. Resut and Discussion : Obtained as many as 98 medical records of haemoeehagic stroke patients, 68,4% samples died and 31,6% samples did not die. It was found that the patient with increased number of lymphocytes, who died amounted to 7 and 2 patients who did not die. Whereas in the patients who did not have increased number of lymphocytes there were 60 patients died and 29 patient did not. In this study, obtained the value of p=0,413 which indicate that there is no significant relation between incrased numbers of lymphocytes towards death. With Odds Ratio 1,692(0,221-8,658). Conclusion : Increased number of lymphosit at the arrival in the hospital has no association against death in the haemorhaggic stroke. Key words : Haemorrhagic stroke, lymphosit number, death, association |
