| Abstrak | : | dan minyak nilam hasil fermentasi 10 jam masing-masing adalah Research on the isolation of patchouli oil using fermentation-water bubble distillation to increase of patchouli alcohol content in patchouli oil. In this research, isolation of patchouli oil by variations without fermentation and fermentation respectively 6 and 10 hours. Patchouli leaves from Belopa, South Sulawesi. The fermentation process is carried out by means of evenly sprinkled water on the leaves as much as 100 mL to 200 gr patchouli leaves. Patchouli leaves without fermentation and fermentation each isolated using water bubble distillation up all essential oils out for 6 hours. The results showed during the fermentation of microorganisms that act is the Aspergillus sp. And Penicillium sp. Long fermentation affect the yield of patchouli oil. The longer the fermentation time, the higher the patchouli oil yield obtained. The most maximum fermentation time is 10 hours because it produces the highest yield of 1,32%. Patchouli oil obtained was analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to determine the concentration of patchouli alcohol (PA). Patchouli oil with fermentation 6 hours treatment resulted in the highest concentration of PA that is equal to 91,22%, while the concentration of PA for without fermentation and fermentation 10 hours respectively were 68,98% and 72,01%.
