Abstrak : There is a wide range of perfumes on the market, one of which is the perfume gel. Diethyl phthalate and dibutyl phthalate is a type of phthalate compounds that can be found in cosmetic products, such as perfume. DEP and DBP exposure to high levels and long-term side effects are capable of causing as endocrine disruptors and reproductive toxicant. This study aimed to determine the content of phthalate compounds in perfumes and the estimated levels of exposure phthalate compounds using analytical methods that are effective, efficient and good validity. The method used is High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with UV detector wavelength of 230 nm. The mobile phase used was a mixture of aqua bidestilata: acetonitrile: 2-propanol: methanol (30: 45: 20: 5) with C18 column (150 mm x 4.6 mm) 5?m (Sunfire?). The results ofthe sample chromatograms showed that the samples containing compounds DEP, but does not contain DBP compound as evidenced by the absence of a similar retention time with standard DBP. After verification, the analytical methods used are in accordance with the criteria of AOAC, which are linearity obtained was 0.99, RSD 2.75 %, and 79.96 % -97.70% accuracy. The average of DEP concentrations in samples are about 563.55 mg/kg product?606.06 mg/kg product. Analysis result with calculate the level of daily human exposure to phthalates from perfume samples per day and the margin of safety (MoS). The estimated of DEP exposure levels in the samples parfume are 0.10 mcg/kg/day. The safety limit set by the ATSDR for DEP is 7000 mg/kg/day and based on the calculation of MoS for DEP in samples are about 19800.10?21293.61 or ] 100, so it is still considered within safe limits for use.
