| Abstrak | : | Green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) is a plant that have efficacy as an antioxidant. Green tea are formulated into tablet dosage forms to produce better form in terms of practicality and accuracy of therapeutic doses. Disentegrant agent had very important role in increasing the rate of active substances release from the tablet so that the drug can have an effect immediately. The purpose of this study was to determine the disintegration time of green tea extract tablets with levels of acdisol and primojel as disentegration agent, and to determine the best value of disentegrant agent in accordance with the best evaluation of physical properties of the tablets as well as knowing the antioxidant activity of green tea extracts after formulated into tablet dosage. Green tea extracts obtained from the maceration with ethanol 70%, then it concentrated by rotary evaporator. The active substance was indentificated with thin layer chromatography test. Tablets were prepared with direct compression method in six formulas which variation level of 2%, 3%, 5% acdisol and 2%, 5%,8% primojel as disentegration agent. The granules were mixed until homogeneous and then tested the physical properties include powder flow, angel of reporse and compressibility index. Tablets tested physical properties include a weight average, the diameter and thickness, hardness, friability and disintegration time the green tea tablet and then the results were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The results showed that variations in levels of primojel increasing the tablet disintegration time. The best formulas with the fastest disintegration time ratio is the formula III (acdisol 5%) which is 9,01 seconds. The test results of the antioxidant power of green tea extract with DPPH method, showed that once it created in tablet dosage forms the antioxidant activity has more than 50%.Keywords: Green tea, Camellia Sinensis L., Antioxidant, DPPH, Acdisol and Primojel |
