| Abstrak | : | This study aims to determine the effect of standardized extract of purwoceng on sexual behavior and to determine the optimal dose that may increase sexual behavior in male rats wistar strain. The soluble extract administered orally for 6 days and the sexual behavior of male rats was observed at day 6 after the last administration. There are 5 groups: comparing control group was given a dose of Eurycoma longifolia Jack at 400 mg normal control group was given distilled water negative, 1stdose treatment group was given purwoceng extract at 150 mg, 2nddose treatment group given the extract of 300 mg, 3rddose treatment group given the extract of 600 mg. Each group consisted of 6 male rats. Observation conducted by put the treated male rats that has been idling for 30 minutes after the last administration in to test chamber that containing adapted female rat . At the same time, female rats fed into the observation box for 30 minutes. After that observation conducted for 30 minutes.. The results obtained from testing the sexual behavior of purwoceng standarized extract showed a statistically significant difference on parameters MF, IF and IL (p=0,05). whereas the other parameters did not show significant differences (p=0,05), and the optimal dose to increase sexual behavior is 600 mg.
