| Abstrak | : | Analysis students segmentation can be done by classification of graduate segmentation based on completion time of thesis. One of commonly method used dependencies of classification is a CHAID (Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detection) method, where the CHAID algorithm is effective when applied to the data with the observation that very much, at least 500 data. While the number of data observations in this research doesn?t meet the provisions of the traditional CHAID decision tree algorithm. Improved Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detection (I-CHAID) method offers improved methods that optimize the results CHAID incorporation into the smallest size, and if the number of data observations is less than 500, so in conclusion all the independent variables aren?t significant if we using CHAID method. In this research, I-CHAID method used to identify segments of graduate who have a ratio fastest turnaround time of thesis to be a student segment of priority on Statistics Program?s target. Based on the results obtained I-CHAID method have 9 segments, where a segment of the top priority is segment-9 which has a ratio of fast thesis completion time highest, with characteristics include graduate who use primary or secondary data sources are guided by the primary supervisor for the field of expertise of lecturers the main computational or other particularly female graduates are using secondary data.
