| Abstrak | : | Purwoceng (Pimpinella alpina molk.) is one of the native plants which origins in Indonesia and often be used as aphrodisiac. The demand of the people who want to get information about the safety limits of the usage of Purwoceng extract encourages the research to be done and the research is aimed to give information about the macroscopic and microscopic imagery effect of an organ by granting a single dose of standardized Purwoceng root extract. This research is using the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) 423 method. Eighteen males and females Wistar rats divided into six groups, that is a treatment group, a control group for the initial stage and one treatment group for repetition on each male and female rat. The control group was given the aquades solution orally. The treatment group of female and male respectively were given a single dose of standardized purwoceng root extract (Pimpinella alpine Molk.) 2000 mg/kgBB. After 14 days macroscopic and microscopic imagery of the organ being observed. The results of the research showed that administering the dose of 2000 mg/KgBB standardized purwoceng root extract did not give any change to test animals' weight and its macroscopic and microscopic organ features.
