| Abstrak | : | Non-performing loans is an issue that had become a crucial problem of financing/loan at a financial institution such as BMT. There are various efforts that can be done but the earliest efforts to reduce the risk of non-performing loans are through the screening process by assessing the feasibility financing of consumer based on the characteristics of prospective customers using historical data known as Credit Scoring. There are two modeling techniques of credit scoring, namely parametric and non-parametric techniques. In this study the modeling of credit scoring would conducted by using one of the non-parametric techniques known as the QUEST algorithm. QUEST is one of the classification tree method which generate a binary tree, fast in computation, unbiased in selection of independent variables, and has an efficient algorithm. Based on the application of QUEST algorithm in this case, the results showed that the variables which effect on customer?s credit status of BMT is income variable and age of customer.
