| Abstrak | : | Perception is a process to know or recognize the objects and objective instances with the help of the senses. Pharmaceutical work is manufacture and quality control, security, procurement, storage, distribution of drugs, on prescription drug services, drug information services, drug development, drug ingredients, and traditional medicine. The aims of this study to describe the perceptions of pharmacists and doctor about pharmacists role in pharmaceutical work at Panembahan Senopati Bantul General Hospital and the influence of difference demographic characteristic to respondents perceptions. This study was a descriptive study with cross sectional design that held at june 2014 and involving 8 pharmacists and 11 general practitioners respondents. The instrument of this study was questionnaire about pharmacits?s and physician?s perception of pharmacist?s role in hospital pharmaceutical work. Data were analyzed with descriptive and statistical analyze with spearman?s rho correlation methods. Pharmacist?s perception of their role in hospital pharmaceutical work was good (62,5%), that includes the aspect of attitudes, opportunities and constraints pharmacist in pharmaceutical work. Physician?s perception of pharmacist?s role in pharmaceutical work was very good (54,54%), that includes the aspect of physician?s experiences and expectations to pharmacist?s in pharmaceutical work. Statitical analyze with Spearman?s rho correlation give the result that the difference of demographic characteristic did?nt give the influence to pharmacist?s and physician?s perceptions.
