| Abstrak | : | Gabapentin is widely prescribed off - label by doctors, although studies have not been done on its safety . The purpose of this study was to compare the use of gabapentin as an off - label drugs and on - label drugs in outpatients in Dr . Sardjito. This research is a descriptive study with cross ? sectional method that is affordable to the population of outpatients who are using gabapentin as an off ? label drugs and on ? label drugs with labels on the diagnosis of depression, epilepsy, neuropathy diabetic mellitus, migraine and vertigo. Data collection was done retrospektif to the population of outpatients using univariate analysis. The use of gabapentin for on a label on an outpatient basis at Dr. Sardjito in 2012 by 100 % and there are not as off label use. There is a mismatch of 73,6 % dose for diabetic neuropathy indication.
