| Abstrak | : | This study aims to determine the effect size of the material (shredded) and method of distillation to yield essential oil. The distillation method are separated into two processes boiled and vapor. Distillation process will be carried out by heating process for seven hours. The result oil was analysis to determine the density, refractive index, rendemen and analysis of the components of essential oil with GC-MS. The highes yield obtained with boiled distillation method is 0,348 % and vapor distillation method 0,076 %. Specific vrafity of the essential oil obtained by boiled distillation 0,969 gr/ml, and vapor method obtained 0,958 gr/ml. The result of boiled method is better than result of vapor process.
