| Abstrak | : | The uses of pennisetum purpureum schumacher as based material in making of product is still rarely done, so the researcher uses pennisetum purpureum schumacher as based material in making of composite. The material is fibre of pennisetum purpureum schumacher, unsaturated polyester, hardener MEKPO. Composite material is shaped randomly in amount of fibre?s volume fraction about 10 %, 12%, 13%, 14%. The reference of testing refers to ASTM D638. The making of cooling pad prototype of pennisetum purpureum schumacher consists of two steps. These steps are (1) make of cooling pad product use fibre of pennisetum purpureum schumacher (2) finishing. A Volume fraction is optimum if the fraction volume of fibre is 14% and weight is 0,632 kg, and the maximum deflection in each point is 2,44 mm.
