| Abstrak | : | Oil palm plantation constitute as one of the biggest plantation in Indonesia. One of the biggest oil palm plantation exist in Kuantan Singingi Regency at Riau Province. Based on statistic data 2008-2010 in Plantation Government Department of Indonesia, there are 116.527 Ha oil palm land with production until 429.453 ton/year. By that production will be produced Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) until 85.890,6 ton/year. That waste will polluted many area around the plantation of oil palm. One of the strategy for reusing dan recycling EFB within make it be briquette as renewable energy. In this research, pirolisis process have done during 5 hours with temperatue until 500oC. The casting of briquette in silinder with diameter 2,7 cm and height 4 cm using adhesive of rice residue with variant 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80% weight of briquette. Based on research result, the best briquette was gotten with using 60 % variant of adhesive. Water content is 11,50%, fix carbon is 63,99 %, and calor value 5914,81 calorie/gram. Economic analisys on EFB briquette showed that the briquette valuable for mass production because has ROI value 13,03% and PBP 0,64 year, if sale the briquette 825 kg sale/month.
