| Abstrak | : | Kaligung train is the name of the railway transport service that connects the city of Semarang and Tegal. The purpose of this train is to increase the current inter-city transportation, and also to reduce the density of highway traffic flow. This study aims to determine the performance of Kaligung Train. Data collection was done by distributing the questionnaires to 100 respondents on Monday, February 7, 2011 (working day) and Saturday, Monday 11, 2011 (holiday). To measure performance of Kaligung train, some factors that related to train operation were used,including speed, punctuality, and load factor. The measurement used the Importance Performance Analysis. Based on the result of analysis using Importance Performance Analysis, the average value obtained for levels of performance and importance level are 2.51 and 1.61. This suggests that the performance of Kaligung train is not satisfactory. The average of speed is about 63.56 km/hour. This indicates that the average of speed is good, based on sub-urban trains speed indicator. The load factor value is 108.35%, so it can be concluded that this value is not reliable to passengers comfort. The delay value is 25%, it shows that the train schedule is not good in punctuality. The train delays are 25%, this indicates that the Kaligung Train is not in accordance with the schedule specified. According to the results of this study it indicates that respondents are not satisfied with the suitability factor between departure and arrival schedules.
