Abstrak : To meet the needs of the road in order to have a better quality of innovation in the field of pavement, one of them is by adding the additive to the asphalt penetration 60/70 to a mixture of AC-BC. Seeing the existence of Indonesia as one of the largest natural rubber raw materials in the world, if natural rubber is used as an additive in hot mix of asphalt pavement the availability of raw materials is not constrained. To find out whether the type of brown crepe natural rubber can be used as an additive, tests should be conducted to obtain the effect of additives on the physical properties of asphalt, and characteristics and durability of the mix. Research is carried out by several stages. The first stage of finding the optimum asphalt content is by marshall test. The use of brown crepe with a variety range of 0%-10% of the asphalt optimum content were performed on the second stage. After obtaining the optimum levels of the additive, the next stage is physical test of penetrated asphalt 60/70. Value test of the asphalt concrete durability was than conducted by comparing the use of additive brown crepe and without additives on immersion of 24 hours. The results showed that there was an additive effect of the addition of brown crepe hard on the physical properties of asphalt mixtures and to the characteristics of AC-BC reviewed by the marshall methods. The addition of additives brown crepe on asphalt can increase the penetration and ductility as well as lowering the softening point and specific gravity. In the AC-BC mixture using additives viewed as a whole has a higher stability value, flow value decreases, Marshall Quotient higher VFWA value decreases, the value of VMA increases, and increases the value of VITM but the VITM value is still lower than it is in the mixtures without additives. The test results obtained optimum bitumen content values of 5.6% towards the mixing weight and the optimum additive content of 6.3% towards asphalt optimum index. In the immersion test AC-BC mixture of additives has been added Index retained strenght of a higher value than the mixture without additives but it is not a parameter preservation mixtures.
