| Abstrak | : | Tatal waste from rubber wood produced during the processing of rubber has not utilized. The main problem is bad smell and poor quality Liquid smoke was developed as an alternative coagulant for natural rubber. Liquid smoke obtained by capturing smoke then though a process of distillation in the pyrolysis process. Further, liquid smoke tested in the laboratory as carbon content, acidity, and phenol content. Also, tested as a potential coagulant of latex. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada suhu pirolisis 500 ?C menghasilkan asap cair sebanyak 30%. Kadar karbon dan fenol tertinggi pada asap cair suhu 500 ?C dan kadar keasaman tertinggi pada suhu 300 ?C. Asap cair limbah tatal dapat digunakan sebagai penggumpal lateks dengan kualitas bekuan mendekati kualitas bekuan asap cair konvensional. The results showed that the pyrolysis temperature of 500 ? C produces liquid smoke as much as 30%. The highest levels of carbon and phenol in liquid smoke temperature 500 ? C, and the highest acidity at a temperature of 300 ? C. Tatal waste liquid smoke can be used as a coagulant of latex with a quality approaching the quality of conventional liquid smoke. Key words: liquid smoke, coagulant, tatal, and rubber |
