| Abstrak | : | Energy is one of the basic human needs but the reserves of conventional fuels are nor renewable progressively attenuate and costs required increasingly expensive because most of the energy used derived from fossil fuels. Necessary a way to produce alternative energy substitute fuels that are appropriate, economical and efficient. Briquettes is one of the alternative energy fuel. Briquettes is the type of fuel made from various kinds of biodiversity. One of the materials has the potential to serve as raw material for briquettes is bamboo with waste rice as adhesive. Adhesives are generally used for this are starch, to avoid competition for food than use of waste rice as a replacement starch adhesive . In this study, pyrolysis conducted at a temperature of 5000C for 5 hours using waste bamboo with size 20 cm, variations in adhesive mixture is 30%, 35%, 40% and 45% of charcoal, printed with a pressure of 75gr/cm and dried with sunshine for one day. Based on this research, the best of briquettes is the variation of adhesive mixtures with 35%, calorific value of 6520,5 kal/g, ash content 7,9% , volatile matter 17,6 % and rate of combustion 0,02 gr/dt. Based on this analysis, this bamboo waste briquettes excellent for business , reduce environmental pollution and feasible to use as an alternative fuel Key words : waste bamboo, waste rice, briquettes, alternative fuel. |
