Abstrak : This study discusses the marketing communications strategy UTY FMedari radio and JIZ FM radio in attracting advertisers and listeners in the province and to describe the opportunities and constraints faced by UTY FMedari radio and JIZ FM radio in attracting advertisers and listeners in DIY. This research adheres to the paradigm of constructivism and uses descriptive qualitative data analysis. Data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained with the method of interview, observation and documentation. Secondary data is data obtained from the literature study. Research was conducted in November 2011-March 2012. The results showed that in order to attract the advertisers is the company doing the marketing mix. To attract listeners then radio the strategy undertaken by UTY FMedari Yogyakarta is to create programs that can be to attract listeners. According to the segmentation of radio teens and young children. Therefore, many programs are broadcast music program. To attract advertisers is done by offering companies and manufacturers to be able to advertise their products / services in JIZ FM radio. If done this way then the company making the bid proposals submitted to companies or advertising agencies. To attract listeners then JIZ FM radio broadcasters to make programs that are adapted to the segment. JIZ FM radio is more focused on the youth segment that is between the ages of 16-24 years. JIZ FM radio itself has a favorite show or event into the event leading spirit of the morning. Opportunities that are owned by UTY FMedari radio is owned by UTY FMedari radio is at present the development of radio technology is developing rapidly. Barriers that are owned by UTY FMedari radio is a limited operational funds for the promotion or broadcast production process. Opportunities that are owned by JIZ FM radio is has a wide coverage area that is in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. Opportunities for JIZ FM radio current increases due to the many investors who looked for the radio business. Barriers that are owned by JIZ FM radio is a lack of operational funds.
