Abstrak | : | Performance appraisal is one of measures that can be used to assess whether an organization or company is good or bad. Good or bad performance of human resources within the organization or company is influenced by many factors, among others, the leadership factor. Leadership style has been widely used and still in accordance with the current situation is the force of transformational and transactional. Both styles of leadership are often applied in several organizations, including the Islamic University of Indonesia. This study aims to know influences of the transformational and transactional leadership style on employee performance at the Islamic University of Indonesia, Yogyakarta. The study consists of two variables, namely, dependent variable (employee performance) and independent variable (transformational and transactional leadership styles). The data was collection was carried out by using the questionnaire method and interview data at the Islamic University of Indonesia, Yogyakarta. The study result showed multiple linear analysis indicates that there were positive influences together and partial leadership styles of transformational and transactional leadership on employee performance Islamic University of Indonesia, Yogyakarta. Value and test results showed a partial determination of significant effects for 13 percent of transformational leadership style on employee performance, and there were significant effects for 11, 4 percent of transactional leadership styles on employee performance.
